Listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX: MP1) in a successful IPO. Raised $25 million at $1.25 per share to help fund the Company’s growth strategy, which included hiring additional engineering and sales professionals and expanding our network operations in North America and Europe.

North America and Europe
Network expanded into North America and Europe, reaching more customers worldwide and extending the capabilities of software defined networking globally. Acquired Peering GmbH, a leading peering company in Germany, and OM-NIX Group AD, adding 180 customers.

Global Connectivity
Capacity between Hong Kong and Los Angeles enabled, linking two major continents with direct connectivity. Partnerships with leading cloud providers IBM, Alibaba, and Oracle increased cloud on-ramps to 102. A partnership with Digital Realty (NYSE: DLR) launched Service Exchange, powered by Megaport, providing customers with software defined interconnection capabilities across key Digital Realty data centers globally.

Megaport Cloud Router
Megaport Cloud Router (MCR) launched – a virtual routing service enabling customers to connect at Layer 3 to and between cloud services without the need for physical infrastructure. Megaport partnered with Salesforce, the world’s leading CRM company. The number of service providers on the Company’s ecosystem increased to over 300, and global enabled data centers to 386; the 1000th customer milestone was also reached within the year.

Japan and Beyond
Global footprint significantly expanded, reaching 552 enabled data centers in 102 cities across 21 countries. This included Megaport’s Japan launch, the country’s first Software Defined Network with a local presence. Global services grew 59%, driven by customers' adoption of multicloud, increasing Annualized Revenue by 68% to over $54 million. The Company partnered with leading hyperconverged infrastructure provider, Nutanix.

700+ Enabled Data Centres
Growth accelerates across the business – ports, services, and monthly recurring revenue all continue their rapid growth trajectories. The Company adds to its presence in Europe, launching in France and Denmark, taking the number of globally enabled data centers to 716. Megaport continues to add major service providers and customers to the network, constantly growing the ecosystem. MP1 was included in the benchmark S&P/ASX200 index on 19 June 2020.

Megaport Virtual Edge
The Company supports more than 2,000 customers and launches Megaport Virtual Edge (MVE), an on-demand Network Function Virtualization (NFV) service that enables edge networking deployments on Megaport's global SDN. MVE is integrated with Cisco SD-WAN, enabling improved branch-to-cloud connectivity from a single pane of glass as well as Fortinet Secure SD-WAN. The Megaport platform is enabled in 24 countries.

Partners and Orchestration
A total of 146 global enabled partners join Megaport’s partner revenue-enhancing service. Megaport also expands to Mexico in partnership with KIO Networks, extending its total global reach to 25+ countries across 800+ enabled data centers.

Ten Years and Transformations
In 2023, Megaport celebrated its tenth anniversary, refined its vision, and transformed in preparation for its next ten years. The Company welcomed new Chief Executive Officer Michael Reid and expanded its solutions portfolio considerably. Global WAN as a Service enables customers to interconnect their WAN across global regions, 100G VXCs were deployed in key locations, and Megaport Internet brings enterprises the ability to deploy dedicated internet connections in just 60 seconds. Megaport also rolled out Project Centurion, the first step in preparing its network to scale for the future of compute and AI workloads.

Our Leadership Team
Michael joins Megaport from Cisco, where he led the pure SaaS Network Visibility Business, ThousandEyes, as Chief Revenue Officer. In that time, he transformed the go-to-market, scaling the team from 150 to nearly 400, expanding into many new countries, and growing the ARR by 2.4 times, making it the largest Cloud, SaaS, and Internet Visibility platform in the world.
Previously Michael spearheaded multiple acquisitions as the WW Head of Sales residing in California, US. Michael is known for his passionate and transformative Sales and Global go-to-market leadership focusing on Culture, People, and Execution. He previously led the Northern Region of Australia for Cisco and, prior to that, led Cisco Sales in Australia’s largest Financial Services customers. He brings over 19 years of industry expertise and experience to Megaport.
Michael holds a Degree in Aerospace Engineering from QUT and was CEO Magazine Sales Executive of the Year 2019.
Leticia Dorman has worked for the Company since October 2021 in the role of Head of Finance and, prior to joining Megaport, was Head of Commercial Revenue at Brisbane Airport Corporation.
Leticia has over 15 years’ finance experience, including external audit experience at KPMG, and is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ).
Darren Wilson leads the global operations teams at Megaport. A recognized leader in services and operations businesses, with over 25 years of experience, Darren has proven skills in the delivery and management of telecommunications products, services, projects, and teams. He has also excelled in the financial and project management of large and complex infrastructure deployments in the international arena. Darren has spent the last 15 years with Telstra International, Mandoe Media, and FirstWave, providing the leadership and vision to establish critical operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and the best people and systems to effectively grow and financially strengthen these companies.
Darren is customer focused, results-driven, and highly knowledgeable; he brings strong reasoning, great communication, and excellent interpersonal skills to his role to drive business change and transformation.
Jemima Harris leads Megaport’s global legal, privacy, and regulatory compliance teams. Jemima has worked in and with in-house legal teams globally for 20 years, and has been with Megaport since 2021.
An experienced strategic legal advisor and leader, Jemima is recognised for her pragmatic approach, commercial acumen, innovative thinking, and enthusiasm for finding solutions.
As one of Megaport’s founding engineers and then VP of Technology, Cameron Daniel has played an integral role in the development of Megaport’s market-leading networking solutions. With 15 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, Cameron has held prior positions at PIPE Networks and TPG before joining Megaport in 2013. He then left in 2017 to join Telia Carrier (now Arelion) in Stockholm. Before rejoining Megaport in 2023, Cameron was an early employee at Graphiant and worked on the complete technical solution, from edge routing to the network controller.
Cameron’s extensive industry experience and strong technical acumen have given him a leading edge in building and managing teams to develop and deliver meaningful, innovative products to market.
Henry Wagner brings a dynamic blend of strategic marketing leadership and technological insight to Megaport’s leadership team as Chief Marketing Officer. With over 17 years of experience in marketing roles within the telecommunications and technology sectors, including prior positions at Vocus and Over the Wire, Henry is known for his strategic capabilities in marketing and branding.
Henry leads Megaport’s Digital Operations function with a focus on integrating advanced digital strategies and data-driven analytics, ultimately driving business transformation and customer engagement. Henry holds an Honors Degree in Architectural Design from Queensland University of Technology, and combines his artistic background with his marketing expertise to create innovative and impactful strategies.
Planning for the pure SaaS Network Visibility Business, ThousandEyes. In his previous role as a Strategy & Planning leader, Adam directed multiple business units including Data Center, Internet of Things, and ThousandEyes. During this time he transformed go-to-market organizations, oversaw the hiring of hundreds of new sellers, created new business functions, and ultimately helped usher in a period of unprecedented growth to make ThousandEyes the largest Cloud, SaaS, and Internet Visibility platform in the world.
Previously, Adam worked in client services with both Deloitte and Galt & Company, a management consulting firm servicing Fortune 500 businesses around the globe.
Adam is known for his strategic thinking, leadership, and execution, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Master’s degree from the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School.
Matt Simpson oversees a global portfolio of partnerships while driving Megaport’s business development efforts, leading new market expansions and forming valuable strategic relationships.
As a founding employee of Megaport, Matt’s previous senior leadership roles include VP Cloud Product, Head of Global Cloud Strategy, and most recently, VP Global Business Development.
Matt’s expertise shines through his ability to forge strategic alliances and develop meaningful partnerships with industry giants across cloud, networking, and data centers, including AWS, Microsoft, Google, Digital Realty, and Cisco.
Matt holds a Bachelor of Business from Southern Cross University, Australia.
With extensive experience in helping businesses achieve cross-functional excellence, Abbey Byfield is a driving force behind Megaport’s go-to-market strategy in her role as EVP for GTM Transformation. During her time with technology giant Cisco, Abbey led highly successful go-to-market transformations by optimizing sales methodologies, integrating cutting-edge technologies, and fostering cross-functional collaboration.
As a leader, Abbey believes authenticity, innovation, and wellbeing are essential for team success, and champions these values throughout every business function. Her expertise in sales leadership, acquisitions, business development, go-to-market strategy, and marketing make her instrumental in driving revenue growth and market expansion.
A creative problem-solver and avid learner, Abbey leverages data-driven strategies, aligns operations with market trends, and empowers teams with the skills they need to deliver consistent, measurable results.
As EVP of North America and Global Strategic Alliances, Misha spearheads a multifaceted commercial team across Direct Sales, Customer Success Management, Solutions Architecture, and central global technology partner alliances. With a career spanning two decades across service providers and technology companies, Misha has been dedicated to forging and enhancing partner strategies and channel routes to market, as well as leading collaborative co-marketing, co-selling, and co-building initiatives.
Misha’s role at Megaport calls for executive leadership, orchestrating go-to-market sales enablement strategies to diverse customer bases, and steering business development and customer enterprise solutions across major cloud, network and security providers.
Misha takes great pride in successfully aligning joint sales enablement strategies, technical collaboration, and customer use case applications with leading public cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, IBM Cloud, and Oracle Cloud.
