Our Sales Operations Manager for APAC shares her tips for being a kind, passionate, and (almost) fearless leader. Meet Tracy, based at Megaport HQ in Brisbane, Australia. Affectionately known by her fellow Megaporters as Mumma T, Tracy has a talent for bringing everyone together and inspiring her team to achieve their goals with a smile on her face the whole way. In 2020, she was even the joint winner of Megaport’s inaugural Cian Mateship Award, in honor of our late colleague and friend Cian English.

One of the masterminds behind Megaport’s industry-leading solutions has shared how she’s helping the company scale up and scale out – and loving every moment. Since joining Megaport in December 2020, Mylene has skyrocketed through the Megasphere. As Vice President of Product, based in California, she helps her team and other departments achieve their most ambitious goals, while driving Megaport to deliver better products to our customers than ever before. She was recently named one of Capacity Media’s 20 Women to Watch in the telco industry, after being nominated by peers in the sector. We spoke to Mylene about what she’s learned at Megaport so far, her advice to women in tech, and what she sees in our crystal ball (it’s looking good!).

Managing Growth Through a Pandemic

We reflect on lessons learned in managing growth during COVID-19—and how these lessons will continue to apply well after the pandemic ends. It’s safe to say 2020 was a year unlike what most of us have experienced before. Megaport’s Accounts Payable (AP) Team Lead, Aimee McGovern, shares how she has grown and innovated while at Megaport, and what makes the company culture unlike any other. Accounts Payable guru Aimee’s magic skill with numbers keeps the Megaport cogs turning smoothly. Based in Brisbane, Australia, in her two years here, she has played a huge role in successfully moving the company to Microsoft Dynamics (D365), progressed from a three-month temp to the AP team leader, and learnt some great lessons along the way. Megaport Success Stories: Evan Luza

Our Senior Brand Designer Evan Luza talked to us about pixels, Irish lawyers, and why it’s okay to be confused. As Megaport’s Senior Brand Designer, Evan helps evolve the company’s design language and visual vocabulary and, as he puts it, “steer the ship through the waters of pixel land”. Based in Chicago, US, Evan joined Megaport in May 2020 in the midst of COVID-19. The way he has remotely settled into Megaport life since then has been inspiring. In less than a year, he has supported a design rebrand, smashed out some serious design goals, and taken our visual story to a new level—all while juggling his night hustle of being a (really good) Soundcloud rapper. We spoke to him about his achievements and challenges, and got his advice on how to thrive at Megaport no matter what role you’re in.
